Terms of Service — LookUpVOD

Effective date: April 4, 2026

1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service govern the use of the LookUpVOD web service, available at lookupvod.com (hereinafter: "Service").
  2. The Service is operated by Code Truck Sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Stawno, Stawno 9, 72-131 Stawno, Poland, entered in the National Court Register (KRS) under number 0001192715, Tax ID (NIP): 542646870, REGON: 542646870 (hereinafter: "Operator").

  4. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  1. Service — the LookUpVOD web application available at lookupvod.com, including its PWA (Progressive Web App) version.
  2. User — any natural person using the Service.
  3. Account — an individual User account created in the Service after registration.
  4. Content — data, information, and materials provided in the Service, including movie, TV series, and VOD platform availability data.
  5. Beta Period — the period from Service launch until the Operator announces the end of the beta phase.

3. Technical Requirements

  1. Using the Service requires an internet connection and a web browser with JavaScript support.
  2. The Service is optimized for the following browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge (last two versions of each).
  3. The Service is available as a PWA (Progressive Web App) and can be installed on iOS and Android devices. Installation requires an HTTPS connection.
  4. Certain features of the Service depend on the availability of third-party services (TMDB, Google). The Operator is not liable for interruptions in the operation of these services.

4. Terms of Use

  1. Certain features of the Service (browsing movies and TV series, checking VOD platform availability) are available without registration.
  2. Full functionality (watchlists, collections, plans, AI features, statistics) requires an Account.
  3. Registration is done via Google account login (Google OAuth) or, after the beta phase ends, also via email address and password.
  4. Users must be at least 16 years of age. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
  5. Users agree to provide accurate information during registration and not to share their Account with third parties.

5. Beta Period and Pricing

  1. The Service is currently in beta and available free of charge.
  2. After the Beta Period, the Operator plans to introduce fees for full functionality.
  3. Users registered during the Beta Period will receive a discount on fees after beta ends. Discount details will be announced before fees are introduced.
  4. Users will be notified of the end of the Beta Period and the introduction of fees at least 14 days in advance.
  5. After the Beta Period ends, Users registered during beta will receive a free 30-day trial period from the date fees are introduced.
  6. After fees are introduced, new Users will receive a 30-day trial period.
  7. The Operator reserves the right to change the pricing model. Any changes will be communicated to Users with appropriate advance notice.

6. Content and Liability

  1. Movie, TV series, and VOD platform availability data originates from external sources (TMDB, JustWatch) and may not be fully up to date.
  2. The Operator makes reasonable efforts to keep Content accurate and current but does not guarantee its completeness or accuracy.
  3. The Service is not a streaming platform — it does not provide movies or TV series for viewing.
  4. AI features (descriptions, recommendations, tags) are automatically generated and may contain inaccuracies.
  5. The Operator is not liable for User decisions made based on Content provided in the Service.

7. Account and User Data

  1. Users may delete their Account at any time directly within the app (section Account → Delete account) or by contacting the Operator at contact@lookupvod.com. The deletion request is processed automatically — the Account is deactivated immediately and all data is permanently deleted within 24 hours.
  2. Account deletion results in the removal of User data from the Service. Some data may be retained for a limited time in infrastructure backups or for the purpose of defending legal claims, in accordance with applicable law.
  3. The Operator stores User data (email, watchlists, collections, plans) in an encrypted-connection database.
  4. The Operator does not share User data with third parties, except as required by law.

8. Acceptable Use

  1. Using the Service in a manner that violates laws, third-party rights, or these Terms is prohibited.
  2. The following are specifically prohibited:
    • automated data extraction from the Service (scraping),
    • attempts to gain unauthorized access to Service systems,
    • using the Service to send unsolicited messages (spam),
    • creating multiple accounts by one person to circumvent limitations.
  3. The Operator reserves the right to block or delete the Account of a User who violates these Terms.

9. Complaints

  1. Users may submit complaints regarding the operation of the Service, Account issues, or Content by sending an email to contact@lookupvod.com.
  2. Complaints should include a description of the issue and the User's contact details (email address associated with the Account).
  3. The Operator will review the complaint within 14 days of receipt and inform the User of the outcome via email.

10. Intellectual Property

  1. The Service, its source code, design, logo, and the name "LookUpVOD" are the property of the Operator.
  2. Movie and TV series data (titles, descriptions, posters) are the property of TMDB and are used in accordance with their terms.
  3. Users do not acquire any intellectual property rights to the Service by using it.

11. Changes to Terms

  1. The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms.
  2. Users will be notified of changes via the Service or email at least 14 days in advance.
  3. Continued use of the Service after modified Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.

12. Final Provisions

  1. Matters not regulated by these Terms are governed by Polish law.
  2. Any disputes arising from the use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with Polish law, including the jurisdiction of courts determined by the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure.
  3. These Terms take effect on April 4, 2026.
