Classic overview
19 year old Isaiah Wright lives for basketball and video games. A year out of high school, he has no job, no plans, and no idea how to be a man. At odds with his single mother Cynthia, Isaiah is given an ultimatum – to step up or move out. Feeling the pull from his friends and the push from his mom, Isaiah is hired by Moore Fitness, unaware of how the owner will personally impact his life. With the prayers of his mother and unexpected guidance from his new mentor, Isaiah is forced to deal with his past, sacrifice his selfishness and discover how God might have a greater purpose for his life.

Isaiah Wright is nineteen, coasting on basketball dreams and video games, with zero direction a year after high school. His single mom Cynthia gives him an ultimatum — get your act together or get out — and Isaiah finds himself working at Moore Fitness under a boss who sees something in him that he doesn't see in himself yet. Director Alex Kendrick builds this around the quiet moments where a mentor's presence starts to matter more than a paycheck, and Aspen Kennedy plays Isaiah as someone who's defensive but not completely lost. This is for you if you connected with Creed or The Pursuit of Happyness — that space where personal struggle meets the possibility of real change.
The best part is when the main character has to face his own mistakes and realizes that real change starts from the inside — Alex Kendrick knows how to make those moments hit hard…
This is for families looking for something uplifting on a weeknight — a story about a young guy turning his life around, so it works for teenagers and adults alike. If you liked fi…
If you connected with Przemiana because of how it focuses on a character's internal transformation rather than spectacle, check out Fireproof and War Room — both also directed by A…
