Why watch?

Max Martini's commander has to deal with an anomaly on a space station that starts killing his crew in increasingly brutal ways — it's one of those sci-fi films where you actually feel trapped on board. The movie moves fast through 108 minutes, jumping between survival fights and trying to figure out what's actually happening — and that uncertainty keeps you tense because you don't know if it's some alien threat or something completely different. Linda Hamilton shows up as someone from the captain's past and that subplot gives the story weight beyond just a single standoff.

Who is it for?

Watch this when you want B-movie sci-fi action with horror elements — the film knows what it is and doesn't pretend to be something more. If you liked Alien or Pitch Black, you know the isolated-in-space vibe, though this one is much lighter than those. Expect steady pacing, plenty of combat scenes in metal corridors, some blood and violence, but nothing extreme.

If you liked how Osiris throws a cast into relentless action with sci-fi lurking underneath, check out Boneyard or The Facility — they're lean thrillers that don't pause for breath and trap a team against something alien or incomprehensible. Aquarium has that same vibe: something wrong unfolds, nobody's safe, the stakes climb every scene.

AI Spotlight

Powered by Claude

Special forces commandos wake up on a mysterious spacecraft with no memory of how they got there, only to realize they're being hunted by ravenous extraterrestrial creatures that see them as food. William Kaufman delivers a claustrophobic creature feature where the crew has nowhere to run and the aliens have all the advantages. Max Martini leads a cast of soldiers who have to use their training and wits to survive an enemy they can't understand or predict. If you're into Alien or The Expanse, this scratches that same itch of humans trapped in space with something ruthless stalking them.
