The Naito Shinjuku Family, a hereditary organization where only those of the Washio bloodline can inherit leadership. Under a calculated scheme, Wakagashira Yuki Kanemaru eliminates the 12th-generation leader, Gunji Washio (Hitoshi Ozawa), in a bid to fulfill his fateful mission of establishing Washio Kiyoharu (Kazuyoshi Ozawa), Gunji’s long-buried sworn brother, as the rightful 12th leader. In a shocking turn, Kanemaru engulfs the Naito Shinjuku Family in flames and meets his end through self-immolation.
