Why watch?

Nick E. Tarabay returns as Spartacus and this series takes a completely different direction than the original — it's about waking up after years in a mysterious house where everything is a threat. The whole thing is darker and more psychological, the fight choreography is brutal, but really it's about how the main character has to figure out what's happening around him. If you liked the first Spartacus for its intensity and hostile world, you'll get that same tension here, just way more claustrophobic and conspiratorial.

Who is it for?

This is for someone who wants to dive back into the Spartacus world but from a different angle — it follows Ashur's story instead of the main hero. If you liked the original Spartacus or shows like Succession or Vikings where characters face collapse and transformation, you'll be into this. Heads up — this is violent and bloody with mature content, not for kids.

If you got into Spartacus: House of Ashur for the brutal politics and gladiator intrigue, check out Kugelanz or Krvaveg kako — both have that same weight in showing how power destroys individuals from within. If you were drawn to characters trapped in systems they can't control, Dark London Victor goes in that direction too.

Ashur claws his way to the top of a gladiator school in ancient Rome, wielding newly found power to reshape the brutal arena into something no one's ever seen before. Nick E. Tarabay commands every scene as Ashur, a character you either love or love to hate — someone calculating enough to survive and ruthless enough to thrive. Steven S. DeKnight, who created the original Spartacus series, brings back that same blood-soaked, scheming atmosphere where ambition and violence go hand in hand. If you watched the first Spartacus for the political intrigue and the gladiator combat, this picks up that exact energy but from a completely different angle.
